Heart Necklace

Happy Sunday, Friends!  Are you all ready for Valentine's Day tomorrow?  :)  I've decided to make dinner for Mr. Sutch and myself since the monkey will be home with us.  What are your plans?

Do you ever make something and then forget to post about it?  I made this Jeweled Heart Necklace back in January.

I saw it over at Martha's when I was checking out her site for Valentine's inspiration.  I made one, loved it, wore it, and completely forgot all about it until Jen from Tatertots and Jello showed off some she had made!  I love her addition of ribbon!  So cute and I like the punch of color!

I used black, smoky gray, clear, and light pink crystals.  I wanted something I could wear year-round and I wear a lot of black.  Then I threaded it onto a black chain.  Sweet and simple.

Wishing you all have a LOVEly Valentine's Day tomorrow! :)

Jewels and Sutch

Hello and happy weekend!  I hope you are enjoying your day.  As promised here are a few of the items I made for the craft show today.  I'm sorry they are a day late, but I was making jewels into the wee hours of the morning and pretty photos were just not going to happen...I still had to use the flash this morning too.  :)

I've been dreaming of Jewels & Sutch for a while and when a girlfriend said she was opening a tea room and asked if I would like to put some jewels in the shop, it made my dream into a reality.

Here are a few of the pieces I took to the show today:

I was so excited because I had already made a sale even before I left the show!  :)  I've never sold my jewelry before...just given it as gifts.  I have to tell you that it felt really good. :)

So what do you think?  Be on the lookout for news about Jewels & Sutch coming soon! :)

A Sweet Necklace

Hey, Everyone!  I hope you are all enjoying a relaxing weekend!  I thought I would hop on while the little man is napping to show you a necklace that I made with the help of my friend, Kristyn.  Did you know that I make jewelry?  I know.  You would never know because I haven't made anything in a very long time.

Anywho, Kristyn wanted a unique and personal gift for a friend's birthday.  She picked out all of the components and helped with the design.  I think it is absolutely perfect.  I love that it is casual, but could easily be dressed up for an evening out and I especially love how the pendants are tied together in the center with a bow.  So sweet!  What do you think?  :)  Would you like to see some more jewels?

I hope to see you all back on Monday for EEK Weeks!  I have to tell you Monday's project is the best by far (to me anyways) and it's a double feature...not one, but two fantastically fall projects!  :)  Have a great rest of your weekend!

Ribbon Necklaces

First, I would like to say how thankful I am to the men and women who have served and who currently serve our great nation!  :)  ...and a big thank you to all of you who have family in the military!  You are rock stars!

We all have a ton of long necklaces that have seen better days.  Don't retire them just yet.  Give them a face lift by simply adding some ribbon and embellishments.  It's super simple and EXTREMELY versatile!  Take a look!

Here's the finished product:

And here's how I got there:
So what do you think?  I think the best part is that you aren't actually changing the first necklace.  You're just making it better...and you can always change it back by removing the ribbon!
